So many characters to kill, so little time.

What are our actors up to?

Our actors are getting busy with performances throughout the Houston area. If you enjoyed them in our films, wait until you see them on stage! (Or, in their own short film...)

  • David Glenn Spencer (A Fistful of Balls: the Stub) is appearing in the 1907 fast-paced French farce, A Flea in Her Ear, from now until May 23rd at Texas Repertory Theatre. Call (281) 583-7573 for ticket information. Texas Rep is located here.

  • Lydia Lara (Fistful: Mistress Brillante Dientes) and Will Morgan (Fistful: Lt. Rearward) are doing double duty for the Houston Fringe Festival this year. They are appearing with their Doorman Actors Lab in a short film entitled Reach for the Stars and well as a short play, Dream Date. Reach for the Stars will be screened (alongside 48HFP selections from the past) at Dean's Credit Clothing at 8pm on Wednesday May 19th, Thursday May 20th, and Sunday May 23rd. Dream Date plays at the Obsidian Art Space at 8pm Thursday May 20th, and at 5pm Saturday May 22nd and Sunday May 23rd. Individual shows tickets are $7, or you can invest in the $35 festival pass. Either way ticket, location, and scheduling information can be found at the festival's website.

  • Renegade Amelia fans have two more reasons to attend this year's Fringe showcase, because Angelie De Los Santos (The Ballad of Frank Gilroy: Ethel Berman, and Fistful: the Queen of Blood) is also appearing in two short plays! Six of One Productions will be presenting Bring Your Jesus to Class Day and Flagellating the Boss on the patio at AvantGarden at 9pm Friday May 21st, Saturday May 22nd, and Sunday May 23rd. (Both plays are presented back-to-back, so you'll only need to go to one performance.) Again, everything you ever wanted to know about Houston Fringe Festival (especially ticket information) can be found here.

  • Back by popular demand, Lyndsay Sweeney (Frank Gilroy: the Real Estate Agent, and Fistful: the Violet Fog) reprises her role as Louise Seger in Always... Patsy Cline from June 3rd through June 27th, again at Texas Rep. (Editor's Note: I've personally seen this show, and there is a reason it's back by popular demand. See it. Just don't go during our screenings on June 9th or 10th. Okay?)

  • If you're a fan of the Masochism Tango, or of Poisoning Pidgeons in the Park (either as songs or as activities) you should be advised that from June 11 to the 27th, Shondra Marie (Frank Gilroy: the Greek Chorus, and Fistful: Janice Puller) will appear in Main Street Theater's production of Tomfoolery: The Words and Music of Tom Lehrer!

Wow! That's all the concrete information I have currently about what our talented, hard-working actors are up to this summer.

(Unless, of course, you count the casting which is currently underway for our third short film! This production will premiere amongst other contenders for Houston's 48 Hour Film Project. Join us on June 9th and 10th for screening group "C" at the Studio Movie Grill. More details on tickets and times can be found here.)

Coming soon...

Okay, so there's been a ton of inactivity here for about a year, but that's all about to change.

Not only have we registered for Houston's next 48 Hour Film Project, but we're working to line up other projects as well.

Stay tuned. In the meantime, check out our newly created Cafe Press store (Thanks, Chuck!), or follow Renegade Amelia (as well as our cast & crew) on Twitter.

In the coming days, there will also be a post on what some of our actors are doing in various stage productions around town, including Houston's Fringe Festival.

You could even check out our previous productions if you're new here... While you're there, consider subscribing.

But right now I need dinner...
